The intelligent wireless monitoring system is designed for data acquisition on industrial machines in order to, schedule maintenance interventions, prevent unexpected failures that cause production stoppages and letting you have continuous control over machine efficiency.The PinPoint hardware includes the data collection station, the wireless sensors for vibration and temperature detection and the Caleno web portal, where you can monitor the status of the assets in real time and know in advance if a mechanical failure will occur.

The hardware supporting the technology

PinPoint sensors collect synchronously and in real time the temperature and vibrational data. Thanks to wireless technology with an autonomy of 2 years, it is possible to install the sensors even in remote and difficult to access areas. The assembly on the machinery can be done using a powerful magnet base, two-component glue or an M6 screw.

Vibration and temperature sensors, four in one:

  • Synchronous collection of acceleration, velocity, displacement and temperature data.
  • Strong anti-jamming capability, long distance transmission, small size and easy to repair and maintain.
  • Intelligent self-inspection function and real-time warning for any anomalies.
  • Possibility of installation in EX II- zone and IP67 certified (waterproof and dustproof).

Wireless module for data collection.

The communication control unit can manage up to 60 sensors simultaneously, and can communicate the collected data to PinPoint servers quickly and easily thanks to ethernet, WiFi or 4G technology. The design of the control unit is explosion-proof (ExdIICT4) and suitable for installation in Zone EX II.

L’hardware a supporto della tecnologia

I sensori PinPoint raccolgono dati di temperatura e vibrazione in modo sincrono e in tempo reale. Grazie alla tecnologia wireless, con autonomia di 2 anni, è possibile installare il sensore anche in posizioni remote e difficilmente accessibili. Il fissaggio può essere fatto tramite un potente magnete, colla bicomponente oppure una vite M6.

Sensori di vibrazione e temperatura, quattro in uno:

  • Raccolta sincrona dei dati di accelerazione, velocità, spostamento e temperatura.
  • Forte capacità anti-jamming, trasmissione a lunga distanza, dimensioni ridotte e facili da riparare e mantenere.
  • Funzione di auto-ispezione intelligente e avviso in tempo reale per eventuali anomalie.
  • Possibilità di installazione in Zona 0 e certificati IP67 (impermeabili e antipolvere).

L’hardware a supporto della tecnologia

La centralina di comunicazione è in grado di gestire fino a 60 sensori contemporaneamente, e possono comunicare i dati raccolti ai server PinPoint in modo facile e veloce grazie alla tecnologia ethernet, WiFi o 4G. Il design della centralina è anti-esplosione (ExdIICT4) e adatta all’installazione in Zone 0.

The many advantages of the PinPoint© system

It allows continuous control, improving the use and performance of human resources and machinery.
It permits the optimization of the production process, thus allowing an increase in the competitiveness of the company and the improvement of the quality and quantity of the products.

Guarantees savings on maintenance work, thanks to the considerable reduction in machine downtime and unscheduled production stops. Significant savings on warehouse costs, as it is possible to order spare parts only in case of need and not in a preventive manner. It allows to exploit the entire life cycle of the components: it will no longer be necessary to change a component systematically after a fixed number of hours, but thanks to the continuous control of component wear it will be possible to fully exploit its life cycle.

It enables quality control of maintenance effectiveness: through the Caleno front-end platform, the end-customer can constantly check the vibratory level of the asset, and is therefore able to see the vibratory change before and after a maintenance intervention and accordingly evaluate the effectiveness.

The system sends an instant warning in case of critical events: an intelligent alarm system will provide H24 alarms if the vibratory level changes in a very short time, in order to help prevent important failures and avoid significant damage to groups of machines.
The sensors can be placed even in remote areas that are difficult to reach, in high altitude or in dangerous areas of the plant, where the access of the personnel is risky or not recommended: therefore the HR risk factors are reduced and the safety of the personnel is improved, with a consequent reduction in insurance costs.

It has low installation costs, because it does not require wiring. It is flexible and easy to install on any type of machine. The system can be customized according to customer needs, the production process, the type of establishment or the characteristics of the assets.

We use ISO 18436-2 certified technicians.
The possibility of having a digital map of the industrial plant where the assets can be charted, so you can view the entire monitored fleet. We keep all the historical data of your machines.
We provide statistical operational data divided by each machine / department / plant, such as: plant operating hours, number of hours for production stops and scheduled maintenance, etc.
Through the analysis of the data recorded by the connected assets and the study of the failure dynamics, it is possible to identify potential improvement and optimization of your production system.
